
Aragon requests to declare the municipalities affected by the storms
The vice president of Aragon Government, Vaquero Mar, he visited the affected municipalities To see firsthand the situation in which they are. From Azuara, one of the localities most affected by the strong rainfall, Vaquero has stressed that “the best news is that there has been no victims, despite the great tension that many neighbors lived, especially those who were trapped in the health center, in the roofs, in railings.”

“The Aragon government assumes the commitment to respond to this situation, asking the General State Administration for their collaboration and working in coordination,” said the vice president while transmitting to the mayors the absolute support of the Aragonese Executive.
The Aragon Government keeps the Civil Protection Plan against adverse weather phenomena, after the meeting this Saturday morning of the Cecop at the headquarters of the 112 Aragón Emergency Center. A meeting in which the status of the situation has been analyzed and priority has been given to the recovery of basic services.
The operation deployed in the area already works from the early morning in the work of restoration of road communications, the cleaning of accesses and streets, and the recovery of both the supply of the water supplies, and of the electricity network.
Road cuts and municipalities without light or water
The municipalities with more conditions are Azuara, Letux, Herrera de los Navarros, Villar de los Navarros, Moyuela, La Zaida and Vinaceite. Among the material damages are the multiple cuts on roads and accesses, the low of flooded houses, the Azuara health center and several bridges that have been unusable, such as Herrera de los Navarros, Vinaceite and Azuara.
In addition, several municipalities have run out of electricity supply and in populations such as Letux, Almonacid de la Cuba, Vinaceite, Azuara, Azaila and Almonchuel have water supply problems. In this sense, possible damage to agricultural and livestock farms of the affected regions are also being valued.
The Aragonese Executive has active the entire operation of the Community Civil Protection System that already works on the needs of the affected areas. Given the possible problems in the accesses, medical resources have been sent and assistance in other peripheral health centers to the affected municipalities has been reorganized. As indicated by the Minister of Health, José Luis Bancalero, the area will be resolved throughout the weekend.
