
The first phase of renewal of the gardens of the Plaza Piedad Gil ends, in the Rabal
The Plaza Piedad Gil, in the Zaragozano neighborhood of El Rabal, already looks renewed after completing the first phase of the improvement works of its landscaped areas. He Zaragoza City Council, through the Environment and Mobility Area, it has carried out an intervention focused on the renewal of the grass and the planting of 15 new luses, equipped with an independent drip irrigation system.
The performance, divided into two phases, has initially developed in three of the four major splints that make up the square, with the aim of minimizing the inconvenience to the neighborhood. The fourth parter, even without intervening, will be renewed in October, thus completing the project.
“We work tirelessly, always with several projects in parallel, to continue renewing and improving squares and landscaped areas in all districts and neighborhoods of Saragossa”, Said the Minister of Environment and Mobility, Tatiana Gaudes. In addition, the sustainable approach to these interventions, which seek to create more shadow areas with new trees and optimize water resources.
In addition to the tilos, from the municipal nursery, a bordura system has been installed to protect the surface roots of existing poplars, preventing damage during the mowing tasks of the grass. New grass has also been placed using Tepe’s rolls, and for a few weeks the splints have remained fences to ensure their correct implementation.
The second phase of the works, scheduled for October, will include the planting of six other lias and the renewal of the grass in the remaining partter. In total, the square will have 21 new copies, thus reinforcing its value as a green and meeting space for the residents of the neighborhood.
