With the beginning of the summer and the end of the classes around the corner, there are many Zaragozanos who have already taken advantage of the first days of June to make use of some of the 22 municipal pools of the city to cool off and take a dip in order to support high temperatures. And although there are many who already have their reference pool, there are others that do not have it so clear and wonder, for example, what is really the largest pool of Saragossa?
Around this, there are several candidates who position themselves as quite prominent. This is the case of the emblematic Sports Palace, known by many Zaragozans such as the “egg”, or the Municipal Sports Center of Torrero, which presumes an Olympic vessel of 50 × 25 meters.
However, none of them is the queen of this ranking. The true urban giant is the CDM La Granja, in the San José neighborhood. And this not only presumes to be the most chosen pool by users, but also for being the most spacious sports center, with extensive Céspedes and multiple vessels to swim.
Among the most prominent aspects, its main summer pool measures no less than 50 × 21metters, with funds of up to 1.80 meters, and a volume of water of 1,575m³. To this are added a second pool of 17 × 10 meters, another of 25 × 12 meters and a splash zone of 8 × 8metters, in addition to more than 11800m² of grass and numerous sports tracks.
