Letux’s influencer, Teresa Sanz, asks for urgent help for flooded peoples: “Hands and material are needed”

Jun 16, 2025

Several locations of Saragossa and Teruel They have been completely razed after the torrential rains last Friday, June 13. Municipalities such as Azuara, Letux, Herrera de los Navarros, Villar de los Navarros, Almonacid de la Cuba, Belchite or Vinaceite have suffered floods, detachments and road cuts. During the weekend, firefighters of the Diputación de Zaragoza and that of Teruel have been deployed to restore basic services, shrink water and supply deposits in the affected areas.

Flooded municipalities ask for help: “We are completely abandoned”

Only in Azuara and Letux have had to be rescued 19 people, including two families with minors and several toilets trapped in the health center. In addition, key roads such as the N-232 remained closed for hours, and cleaning in sections such as access to Almonacid or the road between Herrera and Villar de los Navarros will continue in the next few days.

Given the lack of institutional response and the magnitude of the damage, Aragonese influencer Teresa Sanz has released a video on social networks to ask for urgent help. Originally from Letux, one of the most affected peoples, Teresa has mobilized her thousands of followers to collaborate with cleaning work, donate material or simply come to lend a hand. His message, shared on Instagram and Tiktok, has been viralized in a few hours and has become the speaker of a community that feels overflowed and alone.

“Please, hands are needed”: Teresa Sanz’s call after floods

In the video, Teresa begins by apologizing for not knowing how to focus the message. “This video, please, is to ask for dissemination, to ask most of all help,” he says, explaining that “many people have been homeless, completely shattered houses, everything is muddy, full of mud.”

The influencer emphasizes that there have been no fatalities or missing people, “at least this is the information I have so far”, and launches a direct message to their followers: “People who are from Zaragoza or Teruel, if you can approach the people, please, with cleaning materials, masks, gloves, shovels or simply hands … would be incredible.”

Several areas of Aragon are razed behind the storms

Teresa Sanz also highlights that these are very small, with a lot of older population, which makes them even more difficult that they can get ahead without external help. “My town, for example, does not reach 1,000 inhabitants. Almost the entire population are older people who cannot help as much as they would like,” he says.

Access and coordination in each municipality

Teresa also includes practical information about access to affected peoples, recommending not going on Saturday 14 due to new rains, but doing so from Sunday, June 15, when weather conditions improve.

To Letux and Azuara can be accessed by the Fuendetodos road, both from Zaragoza and Belchite.
To Villar and Herrera de los Navarros, on the highway and then by Ferreruela, Cucalón, Aguilón or Tosos.

These are the alternatives enabled to save the stretches of roads cut by floods

Among the most necessary material, features, cubes, cleaning products, shovels, gloves, masks and disinfectants mention. But the most urgent, insists, are voluntary hands to help clean streets, homes and public facilities.
