The mayor of Saragossa, Natalia Chueca, has announced that the works of the new kiosk of the Aljafía Park in the neighborhood of La Almozara will begin this year, after completing the neighborhood participation process and being finalized by the definitive design of the project.
During a press conference to make Balance of his two years At the head of the City Council, Chueca explained that the construction will replace the old kiosk that was in a dilapidated state and could be a risk for security, with detachments detected since 2021 and a technical study that warned of the critical state of its structures.
In its review of the actions carried out in the parks of the city, the governor has also highlighted the investment of more than 2.5 million euros for the improvement and renewal of children’s games and gymnastics elements for adults. This figure includes 870,769 euros awarded recently, not counting the annual budgets dedicated to cleaning and conservation tasks. “The parks must be spaces for all ages and in optimal conditions,” he said.
In environmental matters, Chueca has valued as “key” the progress of the Zaragoza Forest project, which in its fourth season has already reached 205,000 trees and bushes planted in more than 230 hectares. The latest plantations have served to create new connections in areas such as the Green Corridor of the Cartuja Baja, the Ebro environment, Campos del Channel and other areas such as Parque Venice and Torrero-La Paz.
