He Zaragoza City Council He has launched the tender to undertake cleaning and painting work in the vertical garden, located at the confluence of Delicias and Caspe streets. This action seeks to renew the metallic elements of the emblematic building, whose structure includes pillars, holder armor, entangled and enclosures with iron rods on cut steel. The base budget of the contract amounts to 18,140 euros, VAT included, and the works must be executed within a maximum period of 30 days.
As detailed by the Technical Pliego, the intervention responds to the need to beautify this urban enclave that is part of the main axis of the Delicias commercial walk, one of the actions collected in the Local Commerce Plan 2021-2026. From the Economy and Consumption Service, it is underlined that the objective is to improve the image of this key commercial environment, within the tactical urban planning and revitalization of public space.
The contract requires the participation of a specialized company with experience in cleaning and treatment of metal structures. The bidding process will be open for 10 calendar days from the publication of the announcement.
Since its installation, the vertical garden has been a visual reference in the neighborhood, but the passage of time, institutional abandonment and vandalism have deteriorated its structure. In addition, the upper plants remain closed to the public and without date for their renewal or reopening.
