
Zaragoza prepares for a great free and outdoor concert of a well -known pianist
The multifaceted Luxembourg pianist Francesco Tristano visits Zaragoza for the first time to celebrate the 30 years of life of the Zaragoza Auditorium Princess Leonor. It will be on June 21, coinciding with the European Music Day, when the main facade of the auditorium will become at 10 pm on the stage of the outdoor show of the artist, which will pay tribute to the classic repertoire with a fresh and contemporary turn, a sound and visual experience where the piano tradition merges with the electronic avant -garde. The show will be free and outdoors and does not require prior reservation.
Francesco Tristano will invite the public to a trip through centuries of music that proposes several ways of approximation to classic composers and large piano works, which live with Tristano works; From Frescobaldi and Bach to their own contemporary compositions, reinvented with electronic textures.
Tristano, born in 1981, is one of the most versatile musicians of his generation. Travel the world interpreting repertoire for baroque and contemporary piano; It produces dance clues for electronic music stamps, while continuing with its ambitious project to record the complete work for Johann Sebastian Bach’s keyboard. He creates albums inspired by his own personal stories, in which he explores the sensitivity and tonal piano wealth, as well as the possibilities of electronics. His simultaneous fascination with the clean tones of the Baroque and the Renaissance, as well as for the rhythmic pulse of the techno, give him an exceptional musical personality.
Simultaneous pianos and free guided tours of the auditorium
After the excellent reception of the activity “The artist is you. Piano on the street”, held on May 10 and 11, this experience will be repeated on Sunday 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to close the anniversary acts. On this occasion, there will be two simultaneous pianos: one located in the Hypostila Hall of the Auditorium and another on the porch of its main facade. It is a unique proposal in which the public can freely enjoy and use both instruments, always accompanied by professional pianists who will entertain the moments of rest and encourage the public, of all ages, to join the interpretation. In addition, the Hypostila Chamber will keep its cafeteria service open for attendees.

These activities belong to the “Auditorium in the street” cycle that the City of Zaragoza has scheduled on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the cultural equipment.
