Jul 24, 2025

The wait is over. After months of rumors, uncertainty and a place closed in the second second floor of Grancasa, Primark has already put an official date to the opening of its new store in Saragossa. The Irish firm finally lands at the Actur shopping center thus renewing the offer of the mall.

Since its arrival in Grancasa was announced, many Zaragoza have wondered when this new primark will open, especially after the failed attempt to settle in the Paseo Independencia. Now, the unknown is resolved: the store will open its doors on Friday, July 25, at 10 am, just at the holiday gates and in the middle of the sales season. With more than 2,000 square meters dedicated to fashion, beauty and home, the new Primark store will be the second in Zaragoza and one of the most anticipated in summer.

The Grancasa store will become the number 6 of Primark in Spain And the second in Aragon, adding to what already exists in the Puerto Venecia shopping center. It occupies the space where H&M was previously, on the second floor, and will involve a new commercial impulse for the Actur neighborhood after the closure of two large teachers such as Zara and H&M itself.

Zaragoza thus has two establishments of the brand, as happened years ago with the store in the Plaza Shopping Center, which was the first in the community and closed in 2020. The new location in Grancasa seeks to reinforce the link with the urban clientele and bring the fashion affordable to new areas of the city.

The premises, which exceeds 2,000 square meters of commercial area in a single plant, will offer a wide range of products for the whole family: from day -to -day basics to the latest trends in fashion, beauty, home and leisure. The store will incorporate both traditional and autopago boxes, an option increasingly demanded by customers.

In addition, Primark maintains its commitment to sustainability, with 66% of its garments already made of recycled or more responsible materials, and the objective of reaching 100% in 2030.

Primark will create new jobs in Aragon

In addition, according to the company itself, the opening of this new store will also mean the creation of new jobs in Zaragoza. Currently, the company employs more than 10,000 people in Spain and seeks to expand its workforce with full and partial jobs in the areas of Retail Assistant and Visual Merchandising.

Interested persons can consult all vacancies available through the official employment page of Primark, where the requirements and functions are detailed for each profile.

Investment of 100 million and a national expansion plan

The Zaragoza store is part of an ambitious expansion plan announced in November 2022, which included an investment of 100 million euros for the opening of eight new stores. Of these, seven have already been inaugurated, including that of Lugo, and there is only to open that of Jaén Plaza.

“We are looking forward to our clients and teammates in our new store in Zaragoza, at the Grancasa shopping center. We continue working to offer the best experience in store and fashion affordable to all,” said Esther de las Heras, sales director of Primark Iberia.

For its part, Susana Betrán, director of Grancasa, stressed that “the arrival of Primark represents a milestone in our repositioning process and strengthens the role of the center as a commercial destination of reference in Zaragoza.”
