
The City Council will reinforce security in María Lutal with two video surveillance cameras
Saragossa It remains firm in its commitment to strengthen security in the streets of the capital. To this end, the City Council has started the bidding process to place two new video surveillance cameras on María Lostal Street, at the height of portals 21 and 28, an impulse to guarantee the protection of citizenship in the area. The contract, of a minor nature, contemplates the supply, installation, integration and maintenance of the devices, with a total budget of 18,114.61 euros VAT included.
According to the Technical Pliego, the cameras will have advanced analysis of artificial intelligence analysis and will be integrated into the AVIGILON AI NVR STANDARD video management system already used by the Local Police. This integration will allow the detection of people and vehicles, the sending of alerts in real time and the rapid consultation of recordings in the control center. Both units will be multisensors with 360 degree vision and a resolution of 15 megapixels.
The execution period is two months from the award, and offers that include an extension of the guarantee period, which by default will be one year will be valued. With this performance, the Consistory seeks to expand the video surveillance network in the neighborhoods, a strategy in which it has been working for years to improve the security at sensitive points of the city. One of these points is Delicias street, whose video surveillance will be activated, at last, this week after receiving the City Council, six months later, the authorization of the Government delegation in Aragon.
A system connected to the municipal network
The infrastructure will not be limited only to the cameras. A data transmission network per fiber optic will also be enabled, connecting the cameras with the Municipal Control Center. The signal will go through a new installation communications closet and will travel public pipes to the Consistory Occupational Health and Health Service, from where it will be sent to the Local Police Barracks on Domingo Miral. In addition, visible informative posters will be installed in the accesses to the area, as required by the Spanish Agency for Data Protection.
The winning company must meet strict technical and legal requirements, such as having a medium level certification of the national security scheme, an experience accredited in integration with the Avigilon system and being registered as a telecommunications and low voltage installer. The contract will also require the delivery of manuals, detailed plans, network certifications and functional tests of the system.
This action is part of the firm commitment of the Zaragoza City Council for reinforcing citizen security through the use of advanced technologies. The installation of new cameras adds to other initiatives already deployed in different neighborhoods of the city, with the purpose of preventing criminal acts, improving the capacity of police response and increasing the sense of security among the neighbors.
