
The Zaragoza Bar Association tributes Carlos Carnicer, national reference for the law
He Bar Association of Saragossa He has paid tribute this Friday to the figure of Carlos Carnicer Díez, one of the great referents of Spanish law, who died last April. Carnicer was dean of the Zaragoza Bar Association between 1991 and 2001, and President of the General Council of Spanish Advocacy from 2001 to 2016.
Among the attendees have been the General Director of Justice of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Oswaldo Cañadas, and the General Director of Legal Services, Esperanza doors. The act in memoriam has also brought together other institutional authorities, representatives of the legal field and persons close to the one who was dean of the Zaragozano College and president of the General Council of the Advocacy Spanish.
During his speech, Cañadas has remembered Carnicer as “a personality that gave an extraordinary impulse to the profession, for the benefit not only of the law, whom he represented, but also of the public service provided by lawyers to all citizens in a subject as specialized and sensitive as it is the ex officio shift”.
The act was held in the room that bears the name of Carlos Carnicer, at the headquarters of the Royal and Illustrious Bar Association of Zaragoza (Reicaz), and has also had the participation of Salvador González Martín, president of the General Council of the Spanish Advocacy, and of the Dean Zaragozano, Alfredo Sánchez-Rubio. Likewise, a commemorative video has been projected and the performance of the San Ivo vocal classroom has been heard.
