Jul 24, 2025

As we have been telling for a few weeks, ALAGÓN has represented a Aragon in the most iconic television program in summer. With the support of the godmother Lydia Valentín, the Maños faced San Sebastián de la Gomera (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) that were sponsored by JJ Vaquero.

Both villages competed in classic tests such as the “crazy trunks”, the “Champions Prix”, the “hot potato” or the “Juuraic Prix” obstacle career, where those of Alagón used their wild card to win two additional points.

Although the scores were very matched during almost the entire program, the test of the “superbol” gave the advantage to the canaries who were located with 24 points compared to the 21 of the Aragonese. A test in which Lydia Valentín had to guide the pitcher with the aim of knocking down the largest number of bowling, but that nevertheless, they only managed to throw two because she could not overcome laughter and give the instructions.

THE DICTIONARY, THE DEFINITIVE TEST

Although those of San Sebastián de la Gomera carried the advantage, everything was decided in the last test: “The dictionary”, since in this test each success adds three points, but also penalizes three points for each failure. In the first word, Alagón defended that “Baldela” did exist, but not being true, the Aragonese team lost three points. For his part, San Sebastián de la Gomera opted that “Guapear” was in the dictionary, and when they hit, they added three more points, placing 27 to 18 on the scoreboard.

In his second attempt, Alagón said that “Galicursi” did not appear in the SAR, but being a valid word, they failed again and gave up three other points, leaving mathematically eliminated. Even with the victory already insured, San Sebastián de la Gomera completed his turn indicating that “feph” existed. This time they were wrong and also subtracted three points.

Already in the last round, Alagón said that “Bigle” was collected in the dictionary, but again erred and the score descended up to 12 points. To close, San Sebastián de la Gomera considered that “Crita” did not appear in the SAR and, when they were right, they recovered the three previous points, ending with 27 points.
