The world of trail running He already looks at the top of the Pyrenees. The great trail tragoworld Aneto-poses (GTTAP) will give next Thursday, July 17, the exit pistol to its twelfth edition in Benasque (Huesca), which will lengthen to the Domingo.
No one wants to lose one of the most important appointments of the mountain racing calendar that has beat their record of inscribed with 3,582. Among them, a large number of high -level corridors – which we review below – invite you to imagine great competition in their six different routes. The highest level test will be the tucas marathon.
The impact of the event, however, goes far beyond pure competition. With the pride of having more than 500 volunteers, a weekend of maximum emotion is expected in which sport and mountain shake hands to draw an unforgettable experience.
In fact, around 15,000 visitors (and 30,000 overnight) are planned in the Benasque Valley, thanks to a program of activities with proposals not only for runners, but also for the whole family, such as the exhibition ‘Team spirit, an unrepeatable generation’, small races, children’s animation, the climbing or the Pyrenees Mountain Film Festival.

Vertical kilometer
The Aneto-Posets vertical kilometer, with its 5.4 km and 1,000 m positive, was the last test to enter the program in 2023 and has become the best way to upload the GTTAP curtain. It will be held on Thursday, July 17 from 09.30 am with the magnificent enclave of Llanos del Hospital and Meta at the Summit of the Safeguardia Pico (2,735 m). Its layout is a beautiful high mountain scenario, with the Maladetas massif as a backdrop.
3,582 runners will participate among the different tours
Regarding the favorites, many looks will be put in Ana Tauste, a woman who already knows what it is to overcome the other five tests of the event. To achieve this, you will have to overcome other prominent athletes such as Nuria Dominguez, Ainhoa Lendinez, Sonia Martín, Marta Bernal, Marian Toro, Elisabet López, Elena Calvo, Judit Cardelch or Aitana Domenech. Among the boys, the names of Mario Prades, Dani Cremades and the Uruguayan Maximiliano Vazquez stand out.
We remember that this test will have its cadet version with a reduced 3.2 km and 600 m positive route in which young promises are expected to be squeezed to the maximum.

Following the tradition, in midnight from Friday to Saturday one of the most magical moments of the race will be lived. The departure of the brave participants of the Great Aneto-poses, the toughest test with 105 km and 6,760 m of positive slope, from the avenue of the los of the town of Benás.
In the male category, after the low Urko Valdivielso, the main candidates for this precious trophy are Lluis Ruiz Oller, David Prades, Javier Lanzuela, Javier Lamperez, Albert García, Floren Aznar, David Gay and Mario Mirón.
Among the girls, the legendary Silvia Trigueros repeats, which last year was third, as well as other outstanding Ultreras such as Ester Franch, María Irigoye, the Uruguayan Vilma Giménez, Sandra Cuello, Jone Urkizu or the Dutch Lisanne Jansen.

Return to Aneto
The next morning, specifically at 07.00 on Saturday, the 55 km and 3,630 m positive from the Aneto, the second largest distance of the event will depart.
In it will be athletes such as Martí Lazaro, Jordi Gamito, Gerard Morales, José María Coloma, Carlos Mantero, Hugo de Pablo, Alberto Agundez, Hanot Echevarrlia, Asier Ostalaza, Jesús Herce, Sidharta Garcia, Alex Gorriz, David Vidal, Javi Vives, Diego de la Peña or the Trailrunner of Hong Kong, Wai Hung Wong.
Also Asian presence in the women’s category with Yuanyuan Wu, to which renowned corridors such as Marta Muixi, Iziar Gortazar, Marta Bernal, Ariadna Mataix, Celia Cuevas, Anna Clapes, Mercedes Estigarribia, Thais Pentinat or Aitanadomenech will be measured.
Tucas Marathon
Only an hour later the departure of the Las Tucas marathon is scheduled, with its 42 km and 2,500 m positive, which has more than 1,000 runners. This test will be broadcast (from 7.30 pm) by TV evasion, in a live one presented by the well -known journalist Albert Jorquera.
Among the favorites are names such as Victor del Aguila, Ivan Moreno, Pere Rullán, Pablo Bautista, Alberto Lasobras, Sergio Coll, Javi Cabestre, Sergio Hernández, Daniel Lasobras, David Arbues, David López Castán, Paco Alonso, Aaron Romaguera or the Uruguayan Maximiliano Vázquez.
Among the girls are Leire Fernández, current champion of Spain for mountain races, Patricia Villanueva, Marathonian Marta Esteban, as well as Sonia Amor, Carolina Rius, Laia Guiu, Gisela Soley, Irene Picón and Andrea Prades.

Return to Cerler
Following the usual scheme, on Sunday the two shortest and most rapid tests of the event will take place. The first will be the return to Cerler with its journey of 27.6 km and 1,340 m positive, which will give its departure at 08.00.
Among the boys an interesting duel between Dani Osanz and Adrián Ivars is foreseen, while in the women’s category there will be corridors as powerful as Rosa María Lara, Nuria Hospital, Laura Irina Lara, Marina Albesa or Nadine Calahorra.
CERLER MILL BACK
The last test to leave will be the shortest, the return to the Mill of Cerler, 9.6 km and 435 m of positive slope. Beauty and Explosivity are the two characteristics of this test, perfect for young runners and for those who are starting in this sport.
Pilar Montesinos, veteran Carmen Félix and Cadet Noa Montserrat are the most outstanding names among women, while in the male category Javi Tejonero will try to revalidate the victory last year. To do this, he will have to overcome Joseba Díaz, Carlos Jávega, Alexander Gonzales, Gerardo Soriano and the Mario Tejada and Diego Asensio cadets.
