PSOE has denounced the “inability” of the government of Natalia Chueca Not being able to ensure, “just two months after the start of the Fiestas del Pilar”, the installation of the Craft Fair in the Plaza de los Sitos, Las Casas Regional and the sale of balloons in the street.
“He already demonstrated last year that the Pilar festivities are not a priority for Natalia Chueca and silenced the streets, preventing our street artists from giving life to those parties. In fact, last year, they were the worst parties valued in a decade. Now, two months after starting, we do not know part of its programming,” said the Socialist Councilor Eva Cerdán.
The Socialist mayor has recriminated to the Minister of Culture, Sara Fernández, that the municipalities of the City Council go against companies and concessions because the craft fair requested the extension and it was not up to three months later when the report was issued where it is said that this activity will be managed by markets. “But it is not until June 13 when the final resolution is made,” said Cerdán. “Is a new sheet to be made now, has it been transferred to markets until it continues? Are we going to have a craft fair during the pillars?” Asked the socialist mayor.
Within the file, Cerdán explained, there is an email that confirms that there are no licenses for the sale of balloons in the streets during the Pilar festivities. “It is something that clashes because he says he does not know if there is a voluntary omission or it is an administrative error,” said the socialist mayor, who has lamented that the PP government in the commission has not responded to any of the issues raised.
