The Aragonese industry is in its historical maximum, but the automobile sector falls 50%

The sector of the industry Aragonese is found in its historical production, especially of non -metallic mineral products. However, exports fall into the community and it shows especially in the automobile sector where they dropped 50%. The reason is the rise of electric cars and the strong competition of other manufacturers such as China or Germany. This is reflected in the analysis of the economic situation collected by the Aragonese Economy magazine edited by Ibercaja that has occurred this Wednesday.

In this sense, although the commercial leap in cars is “still positive”, as it is at 48 million euros, “last year was 850 million,” explained the head of economic and financial analysis of Ibercaja, Santiago Martínez. He has described this dramatic fall.

The Aragonese economy expands to the same rhythm as the national team that remains resilient in front of other European partners. In the Aragonese community, GDP is estimated at 2.9% year -on -year. This growth is based on strong domestic demand, private consumption grows 5.9% and investment in equipment exceeds 10%.

Together with these issues, the lack of qualified labor to meet high demand in the construction sector also highlights “to meet the announced business investment and residential construction because there are much fewer homes that the market demands,” said Santiago Martínez. Although he has also stated that the labor market shows advances (1.9% affiliation growth), but below the national average.

As for housing prices in the community, they exceed 13% year -on -year, a reflection of a very active demand before an insufficient supply. According to Martínez, there is a high need to build housing where “half of those that will be needed in a few years” occur, thus causing a “housing deficit.”

Tariff war

Likewise, the United States tariff Spain and Aragon. This is because exports to the United States are very low and relations between the two are scarce, although it could begin to be reflected in the coming years indirectly through relations with countries such as Germany and France, more commercially involved with the US.
