Urbanism accelerates the eviction of the two Pignatelli buildings due to imminent ruin risk

He Zaragoza City Council Executing this Friday at 1:00 p.m. the preventive eviction of the properties located in Pignatelli 72 and 74, after detecting serious structural deficiencies in the inspections carried out. It is an urgent action motivated by technical reports that warn of risk for the integrity of buildings, with specially severe conditions in the sanitation network, humidity, cracks and other structural damage.

The Councilor for Urban Planning, Víctor Serrano, explained during his speech at the Urban Planning Commission that is one of the most serious consequences derived from the Special Inspection Plan in the environment of Zamoray-Pignatelli.

Of the 63 inspections carried out so far, three have resulted in ruin file. The other is located on Zamoray Street, 13. “In these cases, the situation is unsustainable: there are pathologies in the soil, shoe movements, oxidation in balcony slabs and facade detachments,” he detailed.

ZEC calculates that there are 60 people affected in the buildings that will have to be evicted

According to the City Council, all affected persons already have realcojo alternatives, coordinated between urban planning services and social policies. “It has worked without hurry but without pause,” said Serrano, highlighting the joint work between municipal technicians and officials so that the intervention is “in the best possible conditions” and guaranteeing special attention to neighbors in vulnerability situations.

For its part, the municipal group of Saragossa in common (ZEC) has denounced that the procedure has been “a total improvisation” and has warned that, at least 60 people could remain in the street without an immediate solution.
