Vox urges the City of Zaragoza to convene the aid to young rent
The councilor of Vox in it Zaragoza City Council, Armando Martínez, has urged the government team in the Social Policies Commission that took place on Tuesday to call “the municipal aid” as soon as possible. In this sense, he has criticized the delay and has defended that these types of subsidies should be ready at the beginning of the exercise “to prevent delays from arising and that these subsidies do not end up arriving at the citizen when they truly need them.”
Martínez has stated that Spain It crosses “a very serious national housing crisis”, a concern that also fully affects Saragossa. The mayor has expressed that not only is the purchase inaccessible, for “runaway prices” and the increase in construction costs, but also the rent. “When we go to the rental market, the same thing happens, prohibitive income that does not allow a 35 -year -old young couple, today, to pay it out,” he said.
This situation especially worries the municipal group for the impact it has on the personal and family development of young people, “they are life projects that are truncated, they are family expectations that cannot get ahead.” Therefore, he has insisted that rental aid must be a priority for the municipal government. “We have always demanded the creation of items, the increase in these budgetary items for young rental aid,” recalled the councilor, reproaching the government team not yet published the call being already in July.
In addition, he has warned about the importance of advancing these calls. “The publication of these calls for subsidies must be carried out at the beginning of each exercise,” Martínez insisted.
In response, the councilor of Youth, Ruth Bravo, has assured that the call for young rental aid follows its administrative course. As indicated, the file has already exceeded the review phase by the intervening technical area and will be taken to government for approval, after which it will be officially published. Bravo has also underlined the budget effort of the City Council in this matter. “Last year this game was 350,000 euros and this year we have passed to 1,600,000 euros,” he said.
