Zaragoza changes the heat for storms and wind: so time will be the rest of the week

Jul 24, 2025

Zaragoza says goodbye to extreme heat for a few days. After a week start with maximums of up to 38 ° C, temperatures will take a break with the arrival of cooler air and covered skies. This change will also bring weak rains, wind and risk of punctual storms, especially in areas of the north of the province.

According to the State Meteorology Agency (Aemet), on Wednesday, July 23, it will be marked by cloudiness and thermal decrease, with a maximum of 31 ° C and minimum that will be around 17 ° C. During the early morning and early morning there are no weak rains, while the rest of the day will remain with covered skies and somewhat more temperate atmosphere than in previous days.

Thursday with wind and fresh time

Thursday 24 will be the transition day. Temperatures will fall slightly, with a maximum of 29 ° C and minimum around 17 ° C. A day with a partial sun and moderate wind is expected, especially intense in the central hours of the day. Even so, the probability of rain will be low and heaven will begin to clearly clear.

As of Friday, the weather situation will tend to stabilize. The sun will gain ground again and temperatures will recover. On Friday 25 a maximum of 31 ° C is expected with a soft breeze, while the weekend will be clearly summery, with maximums that could reach 33 ° C on Saturday and 35 ° C on Sunday.

Storms in mountain areas

Although in Zaragoza capital the storms seem discarded, the same will not happen in other areas of Aragon. Aemet maintains active alert for heavy rains and hail storms at points of the Pyrenees and the Iberian system, where accumulations of up to 40mm per hour and electrical phenomena during the mornings of Wednesday and Thursday could be recorded.

These rainfall will cross Aragon from north to south and especially affect the province of Huesca, where the risk will be higher in the early hours of Wednesday. In mountain municipalities it is recommended to extreme caution in road displacements and follow official updates to possible changes in the notices.

Stable weekend and progressive thermal ascent

If the forecasts are met, on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 will mark the return of summer. Temperatures will rise progressively, reaching 35 ° C on Sunday. The atmosphere will be dry and sunny, which will allow you to enjoy outdoor plans without shocks.

Next week the warm trend will continue, with maximum above 33 ° C and clear skies, although Aemet does not rule out new cold air irruptions that could change the panorama. Therefore, it is recommended to be attentive to the meteorological parts, especially if the mountain escapes or outdoor activities are planned.
