This Friday, July 25, Primark has opened the doors of its new store in Grancasa, the second of Zaragoza. From the early morning dozens of people queued in front of the store to learn about the new store of the Irish firm. But it would not be after the inauguration when they could enter to know what the brand offers.
“It is a store that I like a lot and to have it more central here in the Actur, the truth that is very much appreciated,” said one of the first clients the row. The opening of this store is number 66 in Spain and has meant the hiring of 66 people in the Aragonese capital.
People who have been preparing this opening for months, so the festive atmosphere overflowed throughout the mall. The day has had a DJ and speeches that have reflected the emotion of the team and the importance of this opening that is within the Primark Expansion Plan in Spain.

During the inauguration, Óscar Torrecilla, director of the store, recalled how in 1997 he came with his teammates to see Arnold Schwarzenegger and George Clooney to the inauguration of Grancasa. “I went home without seeing Terminator, but it was an unforgettable experience. Today, 28 years later, I am here opening this store and the emotion is even greater,” he shared excited.
In his speech he thanked the Primark team, to the staff of Puerto Venice that has supported the opening, and especially the 66 workers of the new store: “You are the heart of our store, you are family. It has been exciting to see your illusion, both to those who have been incorporated now”.

In addition, Esther de las Heras, sales director of Primark, has also intervened with a message full of symbolism: “We work 66 people here and this is the 66th store in Spain. The number 66 symbolizes love, family, service and harmony, and that is what I see in all of you. Also enthusiasm and commitment.”
Apart from highlighting the connection between the two stores of Zaragoza, De las Heras has underlined the value of teamwork, the commitment to sustainability and the objective of “creating positive impact on the communities where we are present.”

The new Primark store is located in the premises that previously occupied H&M and offers more than 2,000 square meters with the latest trends in female fashion, male, childhood, beauty and home. It also incorporates autopago boxes and the new brand store, more visual and sustainable.

Under the slogan “Amazing Fashion, Amazing Prices”, Primark maintains its commitment to affordable and responsible fashion, with 66% of its garments already manufactured with recycled materials or of more sustainable origin. Its objective is to reach 100% in 2030.
