The Monegros desert vibrates at the rhythm of techno in a 22 -hour rave
The Monegros desert will not fire this time and it seems that temperatures will give a truce this weekend. Although if we talk about the festival festival, the one that carries 32 editions by vibrating thousands and thousands of people in an eternal rave, that matters little. 50,000 souls are already preparing to pilgrimage to a Monegros Desert Festival that this year will have about 140 artists from all points of the map. With the top forces and the mood prepared to endure those 22 hours of uninterrupted music, electronic music will begin to sound at noon this Saturday. Only the bravest will see the sun rise and begin on Sunday at the rhythm of techno, drum or dub.
From the Cathedral Stage to Pajar, La Pinada or the Row, the Monegros desert will be filled with up to 13 surprising scenarios that will delight the attendees for the variety of artists who will upload to them. And if there is any name that stands out above the rest (and that is difficult) that is the pendulum, one of the most influential artists of electronic music that puts the dishes again after a break with an impressive live show.
The techno will be the soul of the festival again with names such as Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Blawan, Héctor Oaks, Nico Moreno, Oguz, I Hate Models, sale and Indira Paganotto, who will carry their hypnotic and powerful rhythms to the desert. They are just some of those 140 artists that will navigate among the up to 15 musical genres that will turn the place into a place to go crazy.
The festival’s motto, “this is not for you,” is an invitation to accept the unexpected, according to the organizers. “Monegros exceeds the limits, and each edition is a challenge for the attendees, not only because of their location, but for the intensity of the experience. However, those who accept the challenge discover that a Monegrino has been waiting to wake up within them all the time,” they express.
“There are two types of Monegrinos: those that are already and those who still do not know. This year we wait for you all because we promise to overcome in every detail to bring you the festival of your lives,” say Cruz and Juan Arnau, the founders of Monegros Desert Festival. We will have to wait
A challenge rather than a festival
Historically, Monegros Desert has also been considered by its creators as a pilgrimage rather than a festival. A challenge in full desert, “a trip to the resistance limit” where “sand, wind and sound” are the only allies of the “ravers”. That is why, so not everything is limited to music. The “ravers” of more than 87 countries will be able to live experiences in the iconic Airbus A330, turned into a secret club for only 800 chosen and the F2F format debut on stage 240km/h.
The enclosure will close at 12.00 on Sunday and since music begins 22 hours before, the viewer will immerse himself in an entire universe full of incredible stages, surprises and music in an eternal rave. Cataloged by many as one of the “most extreme” festivals, security will also be in line and that is that a large device that will shield the enclosure installed in the vicinity of Fraga has been deployed.
500 civil guards of different specialties and the reinforcement of the French National Gendarmerie will be deployed throughout this Saturday and Sunday to control the access and security of the festival in the face of a massive influx.
