This former Tourism Office remained unused at the end of December of the year 2023, at which time Zaragoza City Council premiered the new office located a few meters further back, on Santiago Street, 22. The disassembly of the old building gave the departure gun on July 16 when the glassware surrounding the main facade began and until this weekend the only thing that was kept standing was the structure of the emblematic building. The demolition, which was approved on June 26 by the Provincial Heritage Commission, aimed to enhance the open and monumental character of the square, after supposing a visual impediment.
