Zaragoza closes the traffic of Walk Independence for works: These are the deviations and cuts of the bus

Jul 28, 2025

The faces of surprise and bewilder Saragossa, discovering that their usual lines changed the route. The reason is none other than the Court of the Paseo de la Independencia to Traffic for the works that are being carried out in the Plaza de Spain and that will force to keep the cuts and burs from this Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1.

As a consequence, six bus lines have been diverted by alternative tours, suppressing the stops of Plaza de España and Plaza Aragon/Captaincy. These cuts suppose a great condition of mobility, since it is one of the areas with the greatest traffic shot in Zaragoza and one of the main roads through which the tram circulates.

The lines affected by the detour are 21, 22, 32, 35, 38 and 40, which have seen their paths in the center with alternative tours through Paseo de la Mina and Paseo Constitución. The stops in Plaza de España and Plaza Aragón/Captaincy have been temporarily suppressed, and new points have been enabled as a Constitution/Infanta Patio, Paseo La Mina 15, Constitution 33 and Coso 62.

Line 21

Line 21, in the Miralbueno direction, stops circulating along the Paseo de la Independencia and has been diverted from San Vicente de Paúl. From there, take Plaza San Miguel, Paseo de la Mina and Paseo Constitución, to finally return to the Pamplona promenade.

With this change, the stops of Plaza de España and Plaza Aragón/Capitancia are eliminated. Instead, you can access the bus in Paseo La Mina 15, Constitution 33 and Constitution/Patio de la Infanta, which serve as alternatives during the works period.

Line 22

In the sense of bombard, line 22 also avoids the entire Paseo de la Independencia. The new route starts from San Vicente de Paúl, passing through Plaza San Miguel, Paseo La Mina and Paseo Constitución, to connect with the Pamplona Paseo.

During this detour, the key stops of the center are suppressed and the following are enabled: Paseo Constitución 33, Paseo La Mina 15 and Patio de la Infanta, allowing to maintain connectivity with the center without walking long distances.

Line 32

Line 32 follows the same pattern as the 22 on its journey towards bombard. The bus starts from San Vicente de Paúl, and deviates through Plaza San Miguel, Paseo de la Mina and Paseo Constitución, finishing its diversion when you arrive at the Pamplona promenade.

The stops of Plaza de España and Plaza Aragón/Captaincy are annulled until further notice. As alternatives, users can use the Paseo Constitution 33 and 11, as well as mine 15, depending on the point of the route.

Line 35

The route of line 35 towards Hispanidad is also affected. Instead of going through Plaza de España directly, the bus deviates from Don Jaime through the Coso, Plaza San Miguel, Paseo La Mina and Paseo Constitución, taking up the journey on the Pamplona promenade.

As a result, the stops of Plaza de España and Captaincy are suppressed. To follow the line, it is recommended to go to Coso 62 or the new provisional stops in Paseo La Mina 15 and Paseo Constitución 11.

Line 38

In Valdefierro direction, line 38 modifies its journey from Miguel Servet, joining the La Mina Paseo, Paseo Constitución and Paseo Pamplona, instead of continuing through the usual route through the Paseo de la Independencia.

With this alteration, the central stops are temporarily lost, but the bus from Constitution 11, Constitution 33 and mine 15 can be accessed, according to the point of origin of the passengers.

Line 40

The case of line 40 is particular, since it also modifies its terminal point. In the direction of Plaza Aragón, the bus deviates from Miguel Servet through Paseo La Mina and Paseo Constitución, to finish its route in Paseo Constitución/Patio de la Infanta, instead of continuing to Plaza Aragón.

During these days, there will be no service in Plaza de España or in Captaincy, but users can start or finish their journey at Constitution 11 and patio of the Infanta.

Tram cuts in Zaragoza

Although the works are concentrated in Plaza de España, the Zaragoza tram will not suffer interruptions throughout the week and will continue its usual schedule and route.
