This will be the extension of Ibón Street in Miralbueno: wide sidewalks, parking and green areas
The extension project of Ibón Street to that of the sculptor Francisco Rallo Lahoz in the Miralbueno neighborhood has taken its first steps to be a reality, as it will be this Wednesday when the government of Saragossa Take a tender the works that will be awarded with an investment of 856,305 euros. Once tendered, the works will last for six months and will end in the first quarter of next year.
What is now a street without exit because a plot prevents the continuity of it, will be transformed into a connection with wide sidewalks between 2.70 and 7.50 meters and a roadway with a circulation lane for each direction with a total width of 7 meters. Parking bands of a width of 2.20 meters next to the sidewalks will also be created and alcorques with tree planting in the northern zone will be included.
The prolongation of the street will mean, according to the Minister of Urbanism, Víctor Serrano, an “improvement” for the residents of the neighborhood because it will allow “the Union of Valdefierro and Miralbueno, to improve the mobility in a section where the largest school in Miralbueno (CPI Río Sena) that has a lot of mobility and where affordable homes are also being built.
The works are planned to end at the first quarter of the year
Regarding the supply network, continuity will be given to the existing sections on both sides of the area to be urbanized and a new sanitation network will be created for collection of spills of Pedro Ruimonte street and drains in the collector existing in the street of Enrique del Val. 40 Ledes lamps will be included for the road and 20 ledes for the sidewalk, and bins and parkingcles as part of the furniture.
The plot that prevented the union of both streets was particularly owned when the rest of the area was urbanized. Therefore, the Zaragoza City Council The procedures for the expropriation, occupation and payment of the land ended in June of last year, which could give the green light to the urbanization works of the aforementioned section.
The proposal to connect both streets left the municipal group of Vox that put this condition, among others, to support the budgets of the City of Zaragoza. Thus, the councilor of the group, Julio Calvo, has been “satisfied” that his proposals that come from the requests “transferred by the neighbors” are heard. In this way, “many neighbors of the Miralbueno neighborhood can avoid annoying surroundings that make no sense,” he said.
