From Beethoven to the Beatles: This is the free concert that will fill the forum museum this Sunday
A journey from classical music to current pop in an unique patrimonial environment. This is the free concert that will fill this Sunday, August 3, the Forum Museum by the hand of the singer and pianist Cristian Baquero.
The recital, entitled “From Baroque to Pop”, Is part of the Museum of Welfare Cycle, a cultural initiative that combines history, well -being and live music in monumental spaces. The concert will begin at 12.00, and the entrance is free until capacity is completed, so it is recommended to arrive in advance.
The repertoire designed by Baquero covers from iconic works of classical music, such as the Gymnopédie Nº1 of Satie, the Eternal for Elisa de Beethoven or the melancholic prelude to Chopin’s rain drop, until hymns of the twentieth century that are part of the collective imaginary.
Among the most popular pieces are “Imagine” by John Lennon, “Rocket Man” by Elton John, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and “El Man del piano”, Spanish version of Billy Joel’s classic. Miguel Ríos, an emotional waltz from Evgeny Grinko, a medley of The Beatles and a Popurri Rock with Chuck Berry themes, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley, will also sound.
“This is another quotes of that Museum of Welfare Museum that has already filled other museum spaces during these months. This musical proposal will serve to make a trip through music on a summer Sunday,” said the Minister of Culture, Sara Fernández.
