
“Two lives” premiere, the documentary about the attack that killed two civilian guard in Sallent
This Tuesday premiered in Saragossa The documentary “Two lives. Attacking in Sallent”, made by Amairu Producciones with the sponsorship of the Government of Aragon and Argon TV. The film will arrive at the Great Public on August 20 when it is broadcast on regional television.
The work recounts what happened before, during and after the murder of the Civil Guard José Ángel de Jesús and Irene Fernández on August 20, 2000 in the Oscense Pyrenees and has the collaboration of the Association of Victims of Terrorism.
The act was attended by the president of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, which thanked that “the truth, memory, dignity and justice” of this documentary is preserved, highlighting “the miserable murder of José Ángel and Irene, two public servants, two heroes of the democracy of the hundreds of heroes who were killed without meaning.”
The president has stressed that these two people were removed their lives from 22 and 32 years old “for the mere fact of belonging to the Civil Guard and defending the values of our Constitution.” He has also expressed his satisfaction for having contributed to a year ago, in that same room, to the presentation of “white coffins”, remembering what was the attack on the Civil Guard barracks. “Today we remember José Ángel and Irene, the two civil guards who were killed 25 years ago in Sallent de Gállego,” Azcón added.
