Maella defends the legality of his child bullfighting spectacle: “There are no real animals involved”
Each and every one of the bullfighting shows that will be held in Maella this August have all the relevant permits and authorizations of the government of the government of Aragon. This has been stated by its mayor, Mireia Bondía, thus answering the criticisms spotted this Thursday by the Franz Weber Foundation, who has reported, especially, her child bullfighting show by considering that “exposes the minors to violence.”
In this regard, Bondía has assured that all shows comply with the strictest legality, and that this children’s show is nothing more than “a cart of carts in which the children who want, always with the authorization of their parents, can dress as bullfighters, but never implying a real animal.” It has also stressed that it is an activity that has been carrying out in the municipality for years, and for which “they had never received any complaint.”
Regarding the assistance of minors to bullfighting shows, the mayor explained that it is not a competition of the City Council, but that it is the same parents who have to decide which acts to take to their children. “We always have their authorization when carrying out activities such as the Children
Thus, he has lamented the stir that has been generated following this protest. “In the end it is being sold as if it were an act that was not correct, as if it were an activity that does not meet the regulations, but this is not so. Whoever thinks otherwise is invited this August to go through our parties and know firsthand the activities that we are going to do,” the mayor has concluded.
