More than one hundred runners will participate in one of the most demanding obstacle races of the Pyrenees
This Saturday, August 2, one of the most challenging tests of the Aragonese Pyrenees “The Wall” with its fourth edition returns. He also does it with a record of participation, new challenges and a circuit that does not give truce. More than a hundred corridors are ready to face at 26 strands of the feared ravine of El Lierde, which will transform again into a test field for the bravest.
The departure is scheduled at 10 am. Registration can formalize until today, Thursday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m. through tourism of Villanúa or face -to -face Friday 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the sports center of the municipality.
Each edition incorporates new challenges that require not only physical strength, but also agility, strategy and a lot of head. It is confirmed by Marta Millaruelo, double winner of the test and reference in the OCR world (obstacle races): “The wall puts our mental strength mostly, because the strongest does not necessarily win, but the one that best suits the difficulties of the circuit.”
Millaruelo will be measured again this Saturday with the natural wall of El Lierde, next to expert corridors and others that will face for the first time an experience that goes far beyond sport.
During the last weeks, cleaning work in the ravine has been carried out, extracting materials that had filled the dikes over time. Although this has slightly modified the physiognomy of the environment, it has not affected the key structure of the race: its 26 natural stands.
