The town of Villarreal de Huerva will sound to music with echoes of legend. This Thursday, August 7, the Municipal Pavilion will become the stage of a tribute to the soul of Mauricio Aznar and his most birras group. All this thanks to the Grupo OTHER RONDA Group, which will remember one of the Aragonese rock referents.
The appointment, promoted by the General Directorates of Culture and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, is scheduled for 8.30 pm, within the ‘Aragon, land of culture’ cycle. The event aims to bring the culture of DNA hundred percent Aragonese all the points of the territory of the Autonomous Community.
Another round: a trio that lives music from memory
The group, formed by Jorge McFly Martínez, Mariano Ballesteros and Julio Calvo Alonso, proposes a musical journey that is not limited to interpretation. It is an experience where poetry and music are intertwined to pay tribute to an essential figure of the Zaragoza scene.
Martínez, also a writer and poet, is the author of the book ‘More Birras, from the neighborhood to the legend’. Ballesteros was the original saxophonist of the mythical band, and Calvo Alonso contributes his versatile guitar and his extensive career in Aragonese music. Together, they make up a formation that evokes the essence of Aznar with authenticity and respect.
