
The trout gyoza of L’Esho conquest the Somontano 2025 Wine Festival
The Gyoza fried without gluten with trout tartar of the Degree and Rosa de Barbastro tomato, presented by the L’Esuella restaurant, has been chosen as the best cover of the Somontano 2025 Festival.
The second place has been for the creamy cheese cake with peach cheese jam, which has also received the special mention ”Aragon Taste of truth. ”In third position, the crispy cod brandy and barbastro pink tomato from the Casa Santos Restaurant, of Albalate de Cinca has remained.
The awards will be awarded this Saturday afternoon, from the president of the Dop Somontano, Francisco José Berroy, just before the opening of the Somontano wine sample, starting at 9:00 p.m. There you can taste both winning tapas and the rest of the creations, accompanied by 88 references of Somontano wine.
More than a hundred tapas
In total, 106 covers have participated by 23 restaurants, pastries and entities of the territory. Among the names include establishments such as Iris pastry, Alzheimer’s relatives association of Barbastro, Iber Jabugo, Tres Caminos Restaurant, GHB Group, Wine Lonja, Radiquero cheeses or the ARGP TRENSCO of Aragon, among many others. All of them have turned the festival into a first -class showcase for high -gone gastronomy.
The jury
The jury of this tenth edition has been chaired by the journalist Carlos G. Cano, responsible for the Gastro SER program of the SER chain. He has been accompanied by professionals from the sector such as Anabel Costas, vice president of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism of Huesca; Javier Robles, president of the Association of Cooks of Aragon; and several reference gastronomic journalists such as Enric Ribera, José Miguel Urtasun, Mariano Millán, Ángel Moreno, Florentino Fondevila and Javier García Antón. The technical director of the DOP Somontano, Óscar Torres closed the table.
Weekend agenda
The 25th anniversary of the Somontano wine festival continues this weekend with intense program. This Saturday, the tasting “25 years in wines” stands out with sommelier Ferran Centelles and the musical show Tribute to Fito & Fitipaldis at 8:00 p.m.
The main protagonist will be the sample of the Somontano wine, with a gourmet experience high by the chefs star Michelín Carmelo Forest (Lillas Pastia) and Cristian Palacio (rare people). At midnight, the DJ Álex Curreya, Ardiya and Xune will put the festive finishing touch until 6 in the morning.
On Sunday, the sommelier Raquel Latre will offer the tasting “The wines they know how to wait”, and actor Rafa Maza will close the festival with her show “Fabiolo Connection”. The gastronomic sample will put the end point with another “25th anniversary”, this time from the hand of Toño Rodríguez, of the Nogales era, next to Carmelo Forest.
