More than 700 young people participate in the summer activities of the sugar and the tunnel

A total of 712 boys and girls have participated in the activities of the “Loading Summer” held in the sugar and the Tunnel, which demonstrates the great reception that this program has had among the youngest population in the city.

With the aim of offering a healthy leisure alternative during school holidays, the City Council of Zaragoza designed an attractive and different program, taking into account the motivations and concerns of young people. Between June 23 and July 31, activities of a single movie day, gamification, literary creation, emotional well -being or kitchen and, even several weeks campus, such as the video art of the tunnel have been held.

Javier Macipe, winner of a Goya for his film ‘La Estrella Azul’, opened the program on June 23 with a three -hour masterclass in the sugar company, in which 47 young people participated. Under the title the title ‘Grow and create’, shared his experience as a screenwriter and director, exploring the challenges of transforming an idea into a work and the importance of keeping the artistic vision alive throughout the creative process.

The kitchen campus with @Soulinthekitchen aroused the interest of 34 young people, who attended the three scheduled sessions, while the ‘sugar terror’ cinema has gathered 133 attendees. The campus have also registered good assistance figures. In the campus aimed at promoting emotional well -being linked to summer loves, 32 young people participated, 29 attendees made it in literary creation, and in gamification to learn to design a ‘Scape Room’, 12.

On the other hand, in the tunnel, between July 1 and 18, the Videoarte Camp was held to introduce young people in digital art, stimulating their creativity with a participation of 12 young people. Digital drawing and animation activities, recording of audiovisual content, video edition and assembly, graphic design and creation of visual elements, as well as creation of audiovisual performances have been carried out.

In addition, the Luxnel Electronic Music Festival attracted 395 people to the tunnel, to whom you have to add the 18 boys and girls who participated in the Masterclass. For the councilor of Youth, Ruth Bravo, these good assistance data reflect that the new youth policy model is having a great reception among the young public.

“We are reaching younger, offering them activities that arouse their interest and that help them in their personal development,” said Bravo, who added that the two city equipment (the tunnel and the sugar company) are demonstrating a “great potential” to host activities of all kinds.
