
“Jaca, Kingdom and Legend” returns in September with more characters, history and a jump to the cabbages
The third edition of “Pony, Kingdom and legend “will return from September 26 to 28 loaded with news. The historical event-cultural, organized by the Tourism Area of the City of Jaca, will continue to bet on historical theatricalizations, conferences, exhibitions and a medieval market, but with new characters and, for the first time, will take activities to schools.
This year especially the expansion of the recreation dedicated to King Sancho Ramírez in the Cathedral, in which new characters related to the royal Aragonese saga will be incorporated. These representations will be in charge of the actor Toño L’Hotellerie and other local actors. In addition, the Middle Ages will come alive in a specific exhibition.
Another important novelty will be the arrival in the classrooms of the Jaca schools. Students of 5th and 6th grade will enjoy historical theatricalizations in charge of actor Manuel Bueno, thus closing the origin of the kingdom of Aragon.
The Councilor for Tourism, Lucía Guillén, has pointed out in the presentation that these days have established themselves in the Jaceta calendar: “The objective was to extend the tourist summer beyond August, and these days have achieved it successfully.”
For his part, José Luis Fanlo, Development Director, is confident in exceeding 40,000 visitors of the previous year: “We want to repeat and even improve the excellent results of the past autumn.” Meanwhile, the director of the Tourism Office, María José Jarne, has advanced that the medieval market will repeat format, with more than 80 positions distributed by the old town.
“Jaca, kingdom and legend” was chosen in 2024 best tourist experience in Aragon, and aspires to continue consolidating as one of the great cultural and tourist referents of the community.
