This Monday has begun in Saragossa A special surveillance and speed control campaign in the streets of the city, organized by the Local Police in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT). The action will take place until August 10 and will focus on urban roads with the aim of reducing accidents and road infractions.
During these days the number of controls will be increased, through the deployment of more police officers and technical resources, such as mobile radars and strategic control points
The objective of the campaign is to strengthen the effort in permanent awareness, since speed is a determining factor in road accidents, especially for the safety of the most vulnerable users, pedestrians, cyclists and VMP drivers. Speeding causes a decrease in reaction capacity, an increase in the distance traveled before braking and the decline in the vision.
