
Mar Vaquero: “Honor our roots is the best way to build the future”
The vice president of Aragon Government, Vaquero Mar, the municipality has visited this Sunday Turolense from Muniesa to participate in the Fiestas de San Lorenzo. There he wanted to accompany the neighbors in a few days of marked traditional character, in which he has influenced that “honoring our roots is the best way to build the future.”
During her visit, the vice president of the Autonomous Executive has attended some of the most representative events of the festive program in the company of the mayor of the town of the Mining Basins, José Luis Iranzo. After greeting the Municipal Corporation, he has participated in the Mass and Procession to San Lorenzo, which travels the streets of Muniesa.
In his previous statements, Mar Vaquero has valued these celebrations because they suppose unique days for all the localities that during these weeks celebrate their traditions. “The festivities of our villages are not only days of fun. They are also the time in which we renew the commitment to our roots, with our customs and with the legacy we have received from our ancestors,” he said.
Vaquero has pointed out that “we have the moral duty to extol, respect and transfer our traditions to the next generations. They are the living memory of what we are as a people and as a society, and a fundamental element to preserve the identity of Aragon.”
Likewise, the vice president wanted to highlight the role that the rural world plays in the maintenance of these traditions and the importance of continuing to support municipalities such as Muniesa, where popular culture, the feeling of community and love for land is lived with intensity.
The Government of Aragon has concluded Vaquero, will continue to defend and promote “a proud Aragon of its history, attached to its customs and projected towards the future with the force that makes it unique.”
