They arrest the member of a band responsible for stealing more than 50 mobiles in San Lorenzo in Huesca

The National Police, in collaboration with the Local Police of Huesca, has arrested during Sunday morning a member of an itinerant group dedicated to heist of Mobile phones During the San Lorenzo parties. The arrest occurred in the Plaza Los Fueros, after one of the victims surprised him and, with the help of several citizens, he managed to retain him until the arrival of the agents.

The investigations have allowed to determine that the detainee, of South American origin and in an irregular situation in Spain, was part of a band composed of at least six people and composed of men and women displaced from Barcelona. The group acted perfectly coordinated, with a distribution of functions that included those in charge of subtracting the terminals and those who were in charge of disconnecting them and quickly getting them out of the robbery.

More than 50 stolen mobiles in one night

According to the National Police, the band operated during the afternoon of August 9 and the morning of the 10th, stealing more than 50 mobile phones. After the arrest of one of its members and when they were discovered, their activity ceased and left the city. The arrested used false documentation and has recent background in Barcelona for similar events. In addition, an expulsion file from the national territory has been initiated.

During the parties, the agents have also arrested a person for drug trafficking, which was intervened 8.76 grams of ketamine in the leisure area; and another for the theft of a mobile phone. Likewise, in interventions for alterations of the order, three people were arrested for active resistance to the agents, and another for theft with violence after assaulting a street vendor to try to subtract personal effects.

In terms of citizen security, 45 complaints have been processed: 40 for drug possession and consumption and five for carrying prohibited weapons. Agents have also received three complaints of minor injuries related to mutual aggression in the leisure area. In addition, the Private Security Unit and the Aliens Group, together with the Provincial Labor Inspection, have carried out inspections to ensure that establishments and events comply with current regulations.
