
Huesca lives on Monday the festival of trade: dancers, San Lorenzo beer and special tribute
The Market Square becomes on Monday the heart of the Fiesta del Comercio, an appointment that promises emotion, tradition and a very special tribute. Merchants, municipal, mairalesas and neighbors of all ages are concentrated to participate in one of the most beloved days of the Oscense festive calendar.
The Association of Commerce and Services of Huesca He will pay tribute to “La Casa del Pintor”, the historic establishment founded in 1973 by Cristóbal Nogués and today run by his children Cristóbal and Nati. In addition to an emblematic trade, Pintor’s house has a plastic arts school that attracts hundreds of Oscenses and fans. The painter’s house represents an example of the “generational relief” in the Oscense commerce, thanks to the “love” for the business that its founder has instilled in her children, said the president of the Association of Merchants, Susana Lacostena.
To give a special touch to this year’s celebration, the Association of Merchants of Huesca He has a master of ceremonies: the actor and musician Oscense Kike Lera. He is in charge of presenting and guiding every key moment of the day, which has begun at 9.30 am with the performance of the dancers and the music band, interpreting the traditional dances of swords, old and new sticks, tapes and the Degollau.
Then, the honoree and their family, together with the different authorities, will participate in the opening ceremony of the commemorative barrel of the beer of San Lorenzo, in charge of the Zaragozana, with which they will provide a tradition that evokes the old market square and that will bring together the attendees at a time of fellowship and local flavor.
As a final brooch, the square will be filled with the scent of fresh melon, ham sandwiches and cerbenza amber. For this year the distribution of one thousand kilos of melon and 100 of ham is planned, with which around 4,500 snacks can be made.
