What is the Galactic Summer 2025 in Teruel

The “Galactic Summer 2025” is the cycle of activities that Galactic organizes between June and September to bring astronomy closer to the general public. The proposal includes more than twenty unique experiences, with guided observations, workshops, routes for constellations, meteor rains and sessions adapted to both family and passionate about the cosmos.

Under one of the darkest skies in Europe, activities are carried out with professional telescopes such as GT80 or Jean Assan of 60 centimeters, directed by experts who clearly and enjoyable the secrets of the universe. The sessions begin at 10.30 pm and allow us to observe planets, stars, clusters, nebulae and so long -awaited phenomena as the persistent or the Acucharides.

July 16, 22.30 hours – The deep sky of summer.
July 18, 22.30 hours – Treasures of the sky. One night to discover bright, nebulous clusters and galaxies visible from the northern hemisphere. Ideal for those who begin in the observation of deep sky.
July 19, 22.30 hours – Celestial Marathon. A night challenge in which attendees will travel different celestial objects without rest: planets, double stars, open and globular clusters. Recommended for those who want to squeeze every minute under the stars.
July 23, 22.30 hours – Meeting with the stars. Informative session that combines theory and practice. Constellations with the naked eye are identified and some of its most relevant objects are observed with telescopes.
July 24, 22.30 hours – New Moon. Taking advantage of the absence of lunar light, tonight allows an optimal observation of dim and deep sky, such as galaxies and nebulae.
July 25, 21.00 hours – Initiation workshop to night photography. 
July 25, 22.30 hours – Walk through the summer sky. A tour of summer constellations: Lira, Swan, Eagle. The session includes mythology, night orientation and guided observation.
July 26, 22.30 hours – a look at the Milky Way. Activity focused on our galaxy: its shape, structure, components and main regions visible from Earth.
July 30 and 31, 10.30 pm – Rain of Meteoros Delta Acuáridas. Observation of this little known but very active rain in dark skies. The differences between meteors, asteroids and comets are explained, and the phenomenon is contemplated at its peak.

August 1 to 3, 22.30 hours – Delta Acuáridas. Last days to enjoy this rain of stars with moderate but constant activity. Ideal for calm nights under heaven.
August 6 and 7, 22.30 hours – summer constellations. Sessions designed to learn to recognize the most visible constellations at this time. They include observation with laser pointer and telescopes.
August 8 to 16, 22.30 hours – Perseid Special Observation. The star activity of summer. Perseids reach their peak of intensity on these dates, offering a unique show if the weather conditions accompany.
August 22, 22.30 hours – Astronomy with art and beer “Galactic face”. Double day with creative workshop for families, tasting of Turolense craft beer and astronomical observation to close the night.
August 23, 22.30 hours – Galactic tasting and observation. Special night with wine tasting in the area and subsequent guided astronomy session. A sensory and cultural experience.
August 29, 22.30 hours – Special Milky Via. The knowledge of the galaxy we inhabit is deepened: from its origin to the visible regions in summer. Detailed observation with telescopes.
August 30, 10.30 pm – Meet our galaxy. Dissemination activity to discover what the Milky Way is studied and how it is studied. It covers its main characteristics and promotes critical observation.

Galactic activities prices

Most nightclub activities of Galactic Teruel 2025 have a general price of 25 euros per person, with applicable discounts for children and free admission for children under 4 years (always with prior reserve). This is the case of sessions such as “Walk through the summer sky”, “Summer constellations” or “meteor rain”, all with an approximate duration of an hour and a half and the use of professional telescopes.

Some specific activities include a special format with additional tastings or experiences, which slightly elevates the price. For example, proposals such as the “galactic tasting” with wines in the area, or the night of “astronomy with art and beer galactic face”, can reach 30 or 35 euros, also including local product and materials.

In addition, Galactics offers other types of entry for those who wish to visit the center during the day. The basic entrance to the museum costs 13 euros, while the full guided tour with access to domes and technical zones is priced at 16 euros. There is also a combined entrance to visit both galactic and the Javalambre Astrophysical Observatory, with a closed price of 27 euros.

In all cases, it is recommended to reserve in advance through the official galactic website, since the places are limited and many activities are exhausted days in advance.
