
Zaragoza will rehabilitate nine social homes in weapons to improve its energy efficiency
He Zaragoza City Council It will rehabilitate nine social homes located on the street of weapons with the aim of improving its thermal insulation and reducing the energy consumption of its tenants. The building, built in 1991 and destined for social rental, will be subject to an integral renewal of its thermal envelope and the replacement of carpentry, which will allow families to significantly reduce their air conditioning expenses.
The action contemplates the placement of an insulation of 12 centimeters of rock wool on the facades, protected with a fiberglass waterproof mineral finish and a reflexive antimoho, breathable and hydrorepelent paint. Likewise, windows and wooden frames will be replaced with high -performance aluminum carpentry with double glass, thus minimizing thermal bridges and improving the efficiency of the property.
EMISSION REDUCTION
According to technical forecasts, these improvements will allow a reduction of more than 70% in the emissions associated with the energy rating of the building and a decrease greater than 72% in non -renewable energy consumption. The project, promoted by the architecture area of Saragossa Housing, has a bidding base budget of 295,771.83 euros, co -financed with Next Generation funds and aid of the area of Urban Regeneration and Renewal (RUD).
This intervention adds to other recent rehabilitation projects promoted by Zaragoza Housing, such as the action carried out in 2024 in 288 social homes on Emmeline Pankhurst street, in the Actur, where the demand for heating by 85% thanks to an investment of 4.2 million euros was reduced. Since 2019, the municipal company has managed more than 29 million euros in aid for residential rehabilitation, especially benefiting neighborhoods such as Delicias, San José and Las Fuentes.
In parallel, Zaragoza Housing develops other programs such as the aid for the rehabilitation of private homes, with a budget of six million euros for 2024-2025, or European projects such as Neutralpath, which will intervene in 192 homes in Pedro Saputo, Alejandro Casona and Margarita Xirgu streets to create a positive energy district.
