It has done so through a letter in which the conditions that these spaces must meet, with the objective of guaranteeing both good visibility and a safe and orderly reception of visitors.
Among the recommendations, the choice of high, plain spaces and with clear views west, without obstacles such as mountains, hills or wooded masses. It is important that there are no municipalities close to view, since the ignition of public lighting during the total concealment of the sun could ruin the visual experience.

The DPT also insists that the locations have good accesses, roads in good condition and possibility of arriving with tourism type vehicles. The separate parking availability of the observation zone and mobile coverage are other key elements. Likewise, infrastructure such as biting, seats, containers, sources or electricity supply are valued, as well as whether they are evident areas such as fires or pollutants.
In addition, the municipalities are encouraged to participate in social networks sharing images of the sunset in their municipalities with the hashtag #eclipseteruel, in order to promote the selected points for the observation of the phenomenon.
Through this campaign, the DPT seeks not only to identify the best spaces, but also to raise awareness about the safe observation of the eclipse. In this sense, remember that you should never look directly in the sun without adequate protection, and even less with prismatic or telescopes, since the magnifying glass can cause irreversible damage to vision.
