Teruel’s local trade will receive 500,000 euros from the FITE for its modernization
Retail trade in the province of Teruel will obtain a new economic impulse thanks to a call from the Teruel Investment Fund (Fite) endowed with 500,000 euros. The aid is aimed at small companies with the objective of strengthening local commercial fabric, both through improvements in infrastructure and equipment and their digital presence.
The General Director of Commerce, Carmen Herrarte, has presented the initiative this Wednesday at the Teruel Chamber of Commerce before representatives of the sector, highlighting the importance of taking advantage of this type of aid to boost the small trade and foster its continuity.
The expansion works of the Teruel Airport Terminal with 1.6 million euros are started
The call, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon, establishes that each company will be able to receive up to 80% of the total subsidable investment, with a stop of 75,000 euros per project. The actions must be completed and justified at the time of the application, whose term will remain open until August 22.
Invest so that new generations continue with business
Subsidable expenses include what is derived from works and reforms for the opening of new premises or expansion and modernization of existing ones, as well as actions related to digital marketing and electronic commerce, including the acquisition of software, sales terminals or smart scales.
During his speech, Herrarte has affirmed that the call “will help modernize the sector throughout the province. It is important that the FITE be used to improve small businesses that create wealth and vertebran territory.”

In addition, he has called the older merchants collective, remembering that “40% of the shops are headed by people over 60 years old and I think that for them it is time to invest. If so it is done there are much more possibilities that someone takes over. A business that works gives a good service and if it is transferred it is good for everyone. On the one hand, the service is maintained and on the other, the merchant has an extra for their retirement”.
