Very high fire risk: The red alert extends to 20 zones, 657 municipalities

The General Directorate of Forest Management of the Government of Aragon establishes for today, Monday, August 11, up to 20 areas of red alert due to forest fire: ports of Beceite, under forest Ebro, Valley of the Agricultural Ebro, Turia, South Somontano, Central Iberian Sierras, Jiloca-Gallocant Zuera), Maestrazgo, Western Pyrenees, Eastern Pyrenees, Central Pre -Pyrenees, Western Pre -Pyrenees, Eastern Pre -Pyrenees, Western Somontano, Eastern Somontano, Moncayo and Aranda.

The red alert extends through a total of 657 municipalities in practically the entire territory except in some areas of the Pyrenees and in the southeast and southwest of the province of Teruel where the orange alert are maintained. In general, you can expect high intensity surface fires. In addition, there are very high or total fuel availability conditions practically throughout the community.

The main propagation factor would be wind and topography. Convective behaviors cannot be ruled out since there are conditions for them to occur.

Red alert level prohibitions

1. light fire in open spaces. Any authorization that can be taken for fire, burning and recreational uses is temporarily suspended.
