Zaragoza deactivates the municipal emergency plan for the heat wave and will activate it on Friday again

Aug 13, 2025

After making known the weather forecasts for this week, published by the Aemet This Monday, the Zaragoza City Council It has modified the validity of the Municipal Emergency Plan by heat wave. Initially, the orange alert was going to be active until Thursday at 8:00 a.m., but finally will do it until Wednesday at the same time.

42 degrees maximum for this Monday: Zaragoza keeps the orange alert for the heat wave

Of course, the alert will be activated again on Friday at 00.01 hours, after announcing temperatures for the weekend that will reach 42 degrees. This will remain at least until Sunday, August 17, although with the possibility of continuing to expand it to later days depending on the forecasts for those days.

In this way, the pools will return to their usual price both on Wednesday and Thursday, with price reduction from Friday and throughout the weekend, when the most important temperature rises will occur (Saturday and Sunday). The minimum temperatures will follow in the 25 and 26 degrees until the end of this week.

The councilor responsible for Firefighters and Civil Protection, Ruth Bravo, has taken advantage of this announcement to launch some recommendations to citizens before the heat wave: “Not being in the sun during noon, not performing physical exercise, drinking constant water even though it is not thirsty to stay hydrated and mainly protect vulnerable groups, such as children and older people.”
