Aragon TV will offer during the next two weekend a special program dedicated to the jota contest “La Dolores”, organized by the Calatayud region. The autonomous chain will issue a total of four galas with the most outstanding performances of this third edition of the contest, which brings together Joteros and Joteras of all ages.
The appointment with the Jota will begin this Saturday, June 14 at 10:15 p.m. with the broadcast of the Alevín and Children’s category. The next day, Sunday 15 at 22.00, spectators can enjoy the adult category.
The next weekend, Saturday 21 at 10:15 p.m., it will be the turn of the youth and veteran categories, while the closure of the contest will arrive on Sunday 22 at 9.30 pm with the gala dedicated to the Professional category with the Special Prize “Nacho del Río”.

The Jota “La Dolores” contest has established itself as one of the most relevant appointments of the Aragonese folk calendar, contributing to the diffusion of the jota.
The final of the contest, which this year has had more than 180 participants, was held last Saturday, May 24 at the Capitol theater in Calatayud. It is organized by the La Dolores Cultural Association with the collaboration of the community of Calatayud and the Paracuellos municipalities of Jiloca, Olvés and Calatayud.
