Poetry stars in the XXII Congress of the Aragonese Association of Writers and Writers in Teruel

The Annual Congress held by the Aragonese Association of Writers and Writers (AAEE), the main forum for meeting the authors linked to Aragon and that this year reaches its XXII edition, will be dedicated to poetry. It will be held this Saturday, June 14, in Teruel In the Torre del Salvador Auditorium, in the San Julián Sociocultural Center, with free admission until capacity is completed.

Congress will open at 10.15 am the mayor of the Teruel City Council, Emma Buj. Next, the president of the Aragonese Association of Writers and Writers will intervene, Pilar Aguarón, and the president of the poet platform for Teruel, Cristina Giménez.

At 10.45, a video of the activities carried out by the AAEE will be screened, an association that has grown a lot in this last year and currently has 284 members.

Incessant activity

The association carries out an incessant activity. From the celebration of the last Congress, which took place in June in Tarazona, to date, it has carried out around 70 activities, with stable poetry and narrative cycles that always have the objective of giving voice to the writers Aragonese, with the celebration of an annual congress in June and a gala in November in which the AAEE Prize, an honorary award for people committed to Aragonese literary and cultural life is presented. Likewise, throughout the year it celebrates important events in collaboration with other cultural institutions, without forgetting their participation in the Book Day and the Book Fair, among other activities.

After a break, at 11.30, the first presentation will be held by the writer and actress Angélica Morales, entitled “All curved”. The journalist and writer Antón Castro will star in the second presentation around 12.15 hours in which he will speak on “Five poets: Ildefonso Manuel Gil, Julio Antonio Gómez, Rosendo Tello, Ana María Navales and Ángel Guinda”.

At 1:00 p.m. a video for the presentation of the number 32 of the magazine Imán, which publishes the AAEE will be screened. This publication is digital and renews its contents every six months. It has been disseminating literary creation for 16 years. This number is dedicated to “La Paz”, a peace that sometimes seems distant and even impossible, but you have to continue dreaming of it, naming it and even writing it. Therefore, it contains valuable literary collaborations on this subject.

To these articles is added the usual section of the Gazette, with about twenty texts. In addition, it includes the contributions of the act held in Saragossa, organized by the Citizen Assembly for Peace and against Wars. A new section with book reviews published during the semester by the members and partners is also incorporated. This edition closes a dossier in tribute to Rosendo Tello.

The Congress will be closed with a public reading that will be held from 5:00 p.m. on the staircase of Teruel.
