From Instagram to the Malaga Festival: the young Zaragoza who captivates in networks talking about film

Jul 24, 2025

Her first memory associated with cinema is that moment when her mother recorded in VHS all the Disney musical short films (called exactly Silys Symphonies) that she loved to see and see without stopping. In one of those VHS was the Sleeping Beauty, which is its favorite movie, and to easily locate it in a newspaper El cartel and hit it on the tape. That has spent a few years but Nuria Rodríguez keeps his passion for his 27 intact for the Seventh art. That girl who saw VHS did not imagine then that she would have assisted as important festivals as that of Venice, San Sebastián or Malaga and, nor by Asomo, that some other opportunities would arrive via Instagram.

The young Zaragoza opened an account on the social network (@justonepov) a year ago to transmit her passion for cinema to anyone who wanted to listen to it. And he got it. Having more than 1,000 followers when one starts with just a dozen is an achievement. Even more when those followers interact and fill each of the videos that nuria almost daily. From a “review” about the Superman of James Gunn (which premiered just a week ago) or the Live-Action of Lilo & Stich to others about films that most mortals do not know but that she is responsible for approaching the general public.

Of course, Nuria also puts the original and fun touch and the same can be recorded at a wedding (that of his brother specifically) by asking the attendees about their favorite movie or making a video to two with their mother who, he says, is the film expert and the one who has instilled in him all that love. And that to talk to the camera continues to improve it every day. “I had only uploaded photos until that moment, I had never uploaded a reel and that of showing me so much in camera and above all to speak … I still learn,” he acknowledges.

That moment of getting up the first video is due to his circle. “I dared to open an Instagram account thanks to my friends and my brother, especially. I go to the movies every week and I am very aware of the premieres, what is going to leave, the festivals … I try to be as up -to -date as possible of what is happening and it is true that my opinion usually asked me a lot. As a result of this they told me why I did not make me a channel or something dedicated to it. And little by little. Explain.

But Nuria not only knows about cinema and he is also a lover of art in general. With some of her pictures, artists and favorite works on the skin, the young Zaragoza is graduated in art history and is about to present the final work of the master’s degree in advanced studies in art history at the University of Zaragoza. Then, he will do a doctorate with the intention of presenting a thesis on cinematographic research in a specific figure. And in the absence of profile, everything indicates that it will be Robert Eggers who may be one of his favorite filmmakers.

Of films to festivals

With “slow but solid” growth, the young woman is happy with the evolution of her account. “My profile is true that it does not have great sums of followers, growth is a lottery, truth. I see that there is a lot of feedback and I am happy that we are more and more, there is a lot of interaction, the people who see me always write to me and tell me. This is happy that we have created a family, so to speak,” he explains.

Thanks to a combination between his studies and his Instagram account, Nuria has been invited by some distributors to some pass from their films and collaborates with the online magazine Film History for the coverage at different festivals. The first was the Zaragoza Film Festival of 2024 and then the Malaga Film Festival would arrive. Now, he is waiting to go accredited to the San Sebastián Festival and Sitges.

“I remember that the first festival I went to was that of Venice last year. I went to that one more, of course, next to my friend and the experience was very fun since we were going a little to the adventure. We simply bought our passes and with the few indications that we had investigated, everything went well. I remember it as a very special moment, the truth,” he explains.

With as many films in the retina as he has been able to accumulate in these 27 years, Nuria is not able to opt. “They ask me this question many times and I always say that it depends on the day but if I had to say one, who cheated Roger Rabbit? It is a movie that when I saw her wanted that world to be real and it was a before and after. He made that over the years I would like to see more and dedicate myself to this.”
