Controlled a fire in the Valdeferrín de Ejea polygon after burning 40 tons of straw

A total of 40 tons of straw have burned the afternoon of this Saturday, around 6.30 pm in the Valdeferrín de los Caballeros polygon, in Saragossa. The incident has occurred in the outer area of a company that is dedicated to the management of straw and alfalfa.

To the place they have attended the Ejea Fire Park, with two control vehicles, a heavy urban pump and a nurse truck. The fire has already been controlled, so there is no longer any risk of propagation to other areas.

An Ejea neighbor has assured that this type of incidents are common in the town, especially in summer. He said that on many occasions it is due to the sparks that jump from the harvesters, which turn on the straw quite easily.

A traffic accident a few hours before

This has not been the only incident that has suffered the Valdeferrín polygon this Saturday. And it is that about two hours earlier, around 15.45, there has been a collision of two vehicles at the entrance of this Ejea de los Caballeros polygon. Firefighters have had to release one of the drivers involved, who had been trapped inside their vehicle.
