
The Zaragoza writer David Lozano rises with the Cervantes Chico 2025 award
If last year it was Begoña Oro that took Cervantes Chico, the award has returned this 2025 to the land by David Lozano. He writer Zaragozano has been the deserving of this award that highlights the trajectory and the impact of authors in the field of children’s and youth literature.
The jury has especially valued “literary quality and care of his work” and the original approach “with which the themes of his works are discussed, printing to the stories an agile rhythm and creating relevant dialogues and plausible characters,” they have pointed out.
It is not the first prize that Lozano receives and that is that the writer has obtained throughout his career of the main of the youth literature in Spain. Among them, the wide angle in 2006 for “where the shadows” and in 2024 for “intruder”, as well as the Edebé award in 2018 and 2025, the latter for “the hunt” arise. He has also recently received the Fundación Fundación Fundación.
In addition to those mentioned, among his novels in children’s literature is the Mayra Broccoli series, the three books of the series “You decide your adventure”: “Safari in Africa”, “Escape of the Titanic” and “In Viking land” or the three titles that make up “The Club Edison” or “The Thief of Minutes”.
