The new Romareda will probe if other agents other than Real Zaragoza exploit the future stadium

The Board of Directors of the Company The New Romareda SL has approved, at its meeting this Thursday, to promote a preliminary consultation process prior to the hiring of the management and exploitation of the Soccer Stadium of the New Romareda to verify the existence or not of other economic operators in the market other than the Real Zaragoza that, alternatively or complementarily, they could have interest and capacity to undertake the management and total or partial exploitation of the football stadium of La Romareda.

In turn, they explain, this process aims to obtain market information to improve the definition of the characteristics or technical and economic conditions that have to govern such hiring.

In this case, it focuses on the future management and exploitation of equipment as a soccer field that could understand its use to generate own income derived from both its main activity (football activity, television rights, advertising and sponsors Concerts, entertainment and cultural events, congresses, symposia, institutional acts, etc.). It is expressly excluded from the object of this future contract the exploitation of the tertiary equipment of the plot in which the new stadium will be built.

In the case of the La Romareda Soccer Stadium, the management period would be up to 72 years and a duration of the surface law over the company of the new romareda. The price to be satisfied with the management and exploitation of the Ibercaja Romareda field would consist of a double canon: a fixed one linked to the main activity of between one and three million euros and another variable, which would range between 4% and 5% of the income not linked to the main activity of the management of the football field.

This consultation does not imply the opening of a hiring procedure, but is carried out prior to the future hiring of the management and exploitation of the football stadium, counting with a merely informative and non -binding basis, not generating either right, nor any legal commitment or for the promoter public society or for the participating economic operators for that future contracting of management and exploitation.

The social pacts of the new Romareda SL collect that the management and exploitation of the future football stadium will be assumed in the future by the real partner Saragossa S.A.D., as an accessory benefit of a partner. But those same social pacts require that the management and exploitation of the football stadium (excluding their tertiary equipment) are instructed through a contractual relationship with the mixed society.
