The recent elimination of the minute of silence against sexist violence by the mayor of Huesca, Lorena Orduna, has caused the reaction of joy who has branded “embarrassing” said decision. “I regret and embarrass me deeply that there are democratic institutions that in the face of this dark reality that causes so many murders and so many deaths have decided otherwise, that it is to remove these minutes of silence. The victims killed by sexist violence already add up to 22 so far this year. “It is an absolutely chilling fact.
