Electricity leads consumption consultations in Aragon for the fourth consecutive year

In total, the government of Aragon He has managed 3,043 consultations in the first half of the year, with a clear leadership, for the fourth consecutive year, of those related to the electricity supply.

Electric power accumulates 831 information requests, which represents 27.31% of the total. They are followed by telecommunications, which experience a slight increase with respect to the previous period, from 8.84% to the current 9.66%. On the other hand, consultations on gas services are 6.34%, while automotive reaches 6.01%.

“The doubts and consultations of consumers allow us to know the situation in real time to guide our public consumer policies and advise Aragonese homes,” said the general director of consumer and users protection, inma of Francisco.

Of the 3,043 attention made, 2,093 were informative consultations (68.78%), 821 were for claims, 93 about complaints and 36 complaints. “We see positive the preponderance of the consultations, because an informed consumer can assert and demand their rights,” argues the general director.

Consultations attended

In electrical energy, claims are produced by disagreement in readings, rates, company changes, high user consent, irregularities in additional services, billing and estimated readings.

In telecommunications, doubts are related to difficulties to unsubscribe, difficulties in portability, unilateral modification of the contract with increased quota based on technological improvements, collection by mobile applications, games and payments through the operator; Uncreated high and breach of the committed conditions.

In the gas field, they are motivated by price volatility, free and regulated market, last resort rate, additional services, disagreement in estimated readings and readings. In automotive, the most frequent issues are faults in accordance during the guarantee period from the acquisition, repairs carried out after the end of the guarantee of the sale, absence of budget in the repair and collection of supplements not correctly informed.

User profile

The profile of the user that demands the most information is aged between 40 and 52 years (35.49%), followed by consumers over 65 years (23.27%), and between 53-65 years (21.89%). Women have been the main claims for consumption information, with a difference of 13 percentage points with respect to men. By provinces, 75% of the consultations were Saragossa, 19% of Huesca and 5% of Teruel.
