More than towel and umbrella: the Lloret festival that revolutionizes vacations on the Costa Brava

Aug 4, 2025

Every summer, thousands of Aragonese escape from heat Interior and throw themselves to the coast in search of sea and rest. The beach is still an unbeatable plan, but more and more are those who look for something beyond the towel and the beach bar. The Costa Brava, in addition to precious coves and crystalline waters, offers cultural proposals that transform vacations into much more complete experiences.

In this sense, Lloret de Mar has established itself as one of the favorite destinations for those who want to combine relaxation with live music, outdoor cinema or guided tours of unique spaces. All thanks to Lloret Outdoor Summer Festival 2025, which until the end of September fills the city of shows, art, heritage and activities designed for all audiences.

Culture in front of the sea
Cinema, history and theatrical visits
Shows for families and experiences in nature
The sky lights with drones

Culture in front of the sea

The Lloret beaches not only invite the bathroom, they also become a stage for free concerts such as those of the Manolos and Owls, in front of the Sardana monument. The Festival clone is also celebrated, with clonic taxes to stars such as Abba, David Bowie or the Rolling Stones. This year, in addition to Roca d’E in Maig, taxes will also arrive at Fenals Beach, within the Fenals de Music cycle.

But music not only sounds in the sand. Lloret Castle, Casino or El Paraje de Santa Cristina host special concerts at sunset, with a unique environment that mixes nature, architecture and history. There are also nocturnal serenades in Sant Pere del Bosc and more avant -garde proposals such as the ON OFF Festival in SA Caleta.

Cinema, history and theatrical visits

Wednesday nights have their own name in Lloret: outdoor cinema. In such emblematic places such as Sa Caleta, Can Carbó or Germal Ros Square, films such as Billy Elliot, Moulin Rouge, cousins or Lady Bird, some in Catalan and others in Spanish. The appointment is always at 10 pm, and the atmosphere, unbeatable.

During the month of August you can also enjoy theatrical visits such as “Widows and Doncellas” in Can Font, the only Public Indian house in Catalonia, or the “Inheritance of the Americas” route by the modernist cemetery, with live music. Already in September, the Museum will offer visits with pairing of products from America.

Shows for families and experiences in nature

The Lloret Outdoor Summer Festival does not forget the little ones. Circus, dance, children’s concerts or traditional activities such as the Diada Castellera on August 24 are part of the family program, which also includes the 99th season of Sardanas or the classic Correfoc in the Plaza de la Vila.

For those who prefer to connect with the environment, the Lloret Nature program proposes diurnal and nocturnal snorkeling, yoga sessions in front of the sea and activities directed on the beaches of Lloret and Fenals. A different way of living the coast, active and in contact with nature.

The sky lights with drones

One of the festival’s main dishes will arrive on September 11, 12 and 13 with the Lloret Drone Festival, which celebrates its fifth edition. Every night, at 9:00 p.m., 200 drones will draw figures in the sky accompanied by music, creating a visual and immersive show that leaves no one indifferent.

The festival will conclude on September 27, coinciding with the World Day of tourism, with a special program dedicated to value the heritage and unique experiences offered by Lloret de Mar beyond the sun and the beach.

For Aragonese who are looking for something different this summer, Lloret de Mar offers the perfect balance between coast holidays and living culture. A complete plan that shows that art, tradition and emotion can also live on the beach.
