The great memorial pedestrian Antonio Gutiérrez reaches this 2025 its XXV edition in Huesca, consolidating as one of the most emblematic appointments of the Oscense sports calendar. A total of 28 athletes, 14 men and 14 women will meet on August 8, starting at 8:30 p.m., in the unique urban circuit of the Porches of Galicia, where this test will be played that symbolically marks the starting gun of exit from The San Lorenzo Festivities.
Organized by the City of Huesca, in collaboration with the Sports Club to Ixena and the Gutiérrez-Pardo family, the race has the sponsorship of Caja Rural de Aragón and Cabrero cars, and with the support of shops and local companies that, year after year, contribute to keeping this sports tradition alive.
During the presentation of the event, the Councilor for Sports of the City Council, Leopoldo Carranza, highlighted the special nature of this edition that celebrates 25 years of a race that was born from Antonio Gutiérrez’s commitment to the Oscense sport. A tribute not only for being the driver, but for the legacy he has left. This test has become a reference, both for its unique format and for its link with the parties of the Altoaragonese capital.

The test will be developed on a 200 -meter circuit drawn on the Porches of Galicia. The athletes will travel a total of 9 kilometers in the male category (45 laps) and 6 kilometers in the female category (30 laps). The format, dynamic and close to the public, makes each edition a vibrant show in the heart of the city. In addition, the economic amount for prizes and premiums amounts to 2,700 euros this year. Antonio Gutiérrez, son of the honoree, on behalf of the family has stressed that 25 years later, we continue innovating, maintaining the spirit of this test that his father promoted so much and improving year after year. Seeing the porches full on day 8 is still an immense pride for them.
In addition to the sports show, the traditional elements that give character to the appointment will not be missing. The winners will dance the jota of the chickens, accompanied by the gaiters and gaiterras of the flat earth. As a novelty, from 18.30 a DJ will encourage the atmosphere prior to the race, heating engines for a day that promises emotion, music and a city overturned with the sport and memory of one of its great drivers.
